Hi all! I'm glad someone set the whole Armenian/Amrinian issue straight :). There may be an Armenian Calvinist out there who would take exception to being lumped with the Armenian Arminianists! That aside...I have two married friends, both Calvinists. One friend considered the Doctrines of Grace to be non-negotiable. Though she didn't find anyone locally, the Lord used a mutual friend to introduce her to a man who lived 2,000 miles away. He agreed with her on all doctrinal issues and leads his family spiritually. My other friend also grew up in a Calvinist home, but she didn't consider marriage to an Arminian to be a deal breaker. Her dad introduced her to an Armenian (yes, an Armenian by race) who happened to be open to other views of doctrine. He might even be considered by some to be an Armenian Arminianist :). They are also very content in their marriage. So, maybe this is a personal choice that we put before the Lord and ask for conviction one way or the other. Nice chatting! Sandi Reply »
