I just discovered this website a few days ago. I am in an unusual situation and I don't have many Christian friends to turn to for prayer and guidance. My situation is: For a long time I never had a desire to date and get married. In May 2007 I was praying about whether marriage was part of God's plan for my life. While I was praying I heard the Holy Spirit say to me the name Jonathan. I wrote it down in my journal and forgot about it for a couple of months. In November 2007 I prayed and asked the Lord if I was meant to marry a guy named Jonathan. Since then I have been encountering that name everywhere. However, I have yet to meet an unmarried Christian guy named Jonathan. I have mentioned this to my mother (who is a Christian) but she thinks I am being silly. Does anyone else think this is silly? Would it be wrong to date guys that aren't named Jonathan? I welcome your comments and prayers. Thanks! Reply »
