Dating with Integrity-- John Holzmann

I'm really curious if any of you have read the book Dating with Integrity by John Holzmann. It came out a long time ago and until recently, was out of print. I haven't read it yet, but a friend of mine mentioned how much it had changed his perspective on dating and marriage.

From what I understand, the book tells the story of a couple who were really good friends and never really 'dated' according to modern terms, and then realized that they would be good marriage partners. So basically, they went from good friends to engaged.

The author talks about how there are only three types of relationships until recent times--brother/sister, engaged(betrothed), and married.

Anyway, I'm really curious about what people think of this book and the ideas in it. Here's a link to a pretty good summary of the book: Book Review: Dating with Ingetrity

I have always felt a huge disconnect in my life between the way people talk about getting married and seeing it actually happen successfully. I am so thankful for this book, and ironically, my mother, who was saying the same things all along.

I'm sure like many of you, I felt like the desire to get married was something I had to hide from the world of men and of ambitious women. I feel much more comfortable thinking and talking to my Father about wanting to get married some day. I really appreciate so many of the perspectives and pieces of advice I've found here on this sight! It's revolutionized my thinking.
