This past week I was blessed to go to a Christian Conference in Sydney, Australia held by Christian City Church. It was an amazing 4 days filled with great speakers, such as John Bevere, Steve Munsey, Judah Smith and Phil and Chris Pringle with worship from Delirious?.

I was reminded of God's love for mankind with the story of Hosea and Gomer. And that Jesus is never too busy to stop and hear our cries and heal us in the story of blind Bartimaeus.

This experience reminded me that I am not alone. I know that God hears my cries. He knows my desires and dreams. I know that He has set me on the right path. I believe in Him and I believe in His promises for me and my family.

I am a single, who is trusting God for the One (although technically he is my number two, as God is my number one).

I have had a desire to be married and have my own family ever since I can remember. Anyone who knows me can affirm that I greatly desire this. At times I have struggled with my desire, as I have questioned whether it's really God's plan for my life since I'm still single. I have prayed and prayed. It's not that I doubt God, but sometimes I don't understand His timing.

I give thanks to Him daily though, as I can see how He has protected me from unfruitful relationships in the past. I know the plans He has for me are greater than what I imagine for myself. That is why I hold onto the hope that my desire is a good thing, it is a God thing.
