I would like to propose a lighthearded discussion group because I want to get to know some of you better. What are your favorite hobbies?

My favorite hobby is reading - I can't think of anything better than lying in my hammock or curling up by the fireplace with a good book. I love books that have rich characters whom I can identify with. Who else enjoys reading? Read any fun/inspiring/God-honoring fiction lately? How about the classics - what are some books that you couldn't imagine life without? Reply »

I love doing anything that get the creative juices flowing! :) I love photography, designing, painting, crocheting & knitting, writing, crafts, etc. I also love collecting shabby chic (Rachel Ashwell is my hero! lol), princess and pink items. I love decorating and organizing (anyone who asks, gets "Martha Stewart" organizing her house for the day ;) ) and I am almost always trying to think of things to spruce up. Hahaha, and like any girl....I looooooove me some good 'ol shopping! ;) I don't spend like crazy, but it's such a fun thing to walk around the mall and imagine how I could put all those things together to look nice in a house or office or wherever....I guess that it's that decorating side of me again! :) I also enjoy going to the theater...not the movies kind of theater, but live theater. There is something so magical about the sets and the costumes and I love seeing shows when I can. Another weird little hobby that I have is collecting pictures of 50's clothes off of the internet--I wish that we'd bring the full skirt back, it's darling! :) I love how elegant the women were back then--especially my grandma. She was the epitome of grace....love it, love it! :) I also really love Grace Kelly--absolutely stunning (the way she dressed, carried herself, etc.) What about the rest of you girls? Reply »

I love trying out new recipes and cooking. I cooked some pink salmon for the first time Sunday for my grandma and a friend and they loved it! And it makes me feel good knowing they like it. And Im practicing for when I get married. Ill be able to cook!!! If you are worried about eating it all (as I was) just make sure you are cooking for people, and if you ARE by yourself, only make a small portion. I've even cooked for my parents and took the meal over to their house for dinner! Reply »
