Worth Redeeming

Not too long ago, I went through a small phase of feeling worthless and wondering why it seemed that "no one wanted me."

Whenever I go through times like this, I really try to think of what God would say about that... and I usually end up writing a poem about it.

This is the poem I got. I hope you enjoy it!

WORTH REDEEMING

He thought I was worth redeeming-
Why I'll never comprehend,
Yet He shed His blood to save me,
Proved to be my dearest friend.

He thought I was worth redeeming-
Took my place upon a tree;
Though my heart has oft denied Him,
Went to Hell and back for me.

He thought I was worth redeeming-
Gave a gift I couldn't earn;
All the gratitude e'er given
Can't suffice it in return.

He thought I was worth redeeming-
Chivarly from Heaven's throne;
Tears of joy He'll wipe so gently
When He claims me as His own.
