Welcome

Get Married shows how living intentionally is the key to marrying well. It's a fresh and hopeful perspective of the pre-marriage years that includes praying for your friends, parents, churches, and the men in (or soon to be in) your life. This blog is here to help you make it personal.

I'm passionate about seeing you thrive. I believe the Women Praying Boldly community can be part of that. Thanks for joining us.

It seems as though there are two groups on Facebook....which one is yours,or the official one?

Hey Rachel, thanks for asking. The official group is here:

You can get to it using the URL above or the FB icon in the right hand column on my blog.

The other group was started by Marlys Allard after she read Get Married. She wanted a place for like-minded women to connect on FB. Seeing as she started her group nearly 2 years ago, she was the forward-looking one! ;)

w00t on the blog changes, Candice! Looks great! And this format is probably more conducive to the group members conversing more fully and more quickly. (Which is one of the objectives you were changing for.)

    Great work! And thank you!!!

How was the office event? I hope you had fun even on a "bad hair day"-- and good for you for pressing through. I know how hard that is; still experience it!

Thanks for coming to the new site. Glad you like it!

Seriously?! YOU have bad hair days? Naw. ;o)

Went well as far as the ministry aspect goes. Threads and Operation Christmas Child are partnering to encourage young adults to participate. I was the only person from my dept. to go, so I get to be the cheerleader to get our folks to make up boxes. (We'll have an internal collection point, corporationwide.)

But my ol' paranoia raised its ugly head at one point. Was afraid some people were talking about me. I HATE that feeling. And I hate that I still allow those feelings to dictate my behaviors sometimes.

Didn't meet any single dude prospects. But it was good practice. Every time I make myself go to one of these things, it makes it easier to go the next time.

It was worth it to have inspiration about OCC and to chat with other employees.

Yeah! So glad you went through with it. And what better place than a ministry opportunity. I think it's best when we shine because we're being Christ-like! May God make you fruitful as you minister. -C
